Alright so today i pulled out my HU to hook up my switched 12v wire and lightin wire for my gauges and when i pulled the wires from behind that plastic peice in back, the antenna connector touched bare metal and it sparked like 3-4 times before i could move it. Got everything hooked up and now my HU wont turn on... i checked all my wiring and nothings crossed or damaged, checked both the car and HU fuse and both are good. I smelled the cd player and it just smells like plastic to me, not hot or anything. anyone have a clue to what happend?

that is why you disconnect the battery befre doing any electrical work

yea i know but i kinda forgot lol. My interior lights also dont work now... think its related?

Check your fuses and also the one on the power wire to the HU. Disconnect the battery this time before you do any investigating.

ended up being the interior lights fuse? since when does that fuse have to do with the cd player turning on.
