(ok so i currently have a low budget) setup in my car. 2x 12" volfenhag 1200 watt peak dvc subs and a 1200 watt volfenhag amp. not the best. i know but thats what i have. i just bought a 12 inch L5 used for 100 bucks with a box. the dilema is that i dont really want to let go of the 136.3 db i can produce currently. and dont have the budget to go buy a new amp or another l5 so im wondering if anyone is hitting anywhere near that with one l5? i can build a new box. thats not the problem and actually plan to eventually if i put the L5 in. and a new amp is out of the question in the future. if not im keeping what i have in the cav and i will just put the L5 in my jeep. very torn here.
i hit 140.6 all 3 times at one comp with one 15. the enclosure is a big part of how loud ur setup is. i got a pricey sub but a kit with the same sub bought a box from the dealer and its no where near as loud. has to be ported too

-I hit a 140db right now on my current sixth order. Great sounding box, but only if you do the math right.
-AND who gives a flying @!#$ how loud it is. Music/audio is not about how hard you hit, its about how good it sounds.

ugh!! math. haha. i gues for starters ill take out what i have and throw the L5 in and see where i go from there. i already have it so i might as well.
ill put it in tomorrow if it isnt raining. then i can let everyone know how that worked out in the sealed box i have for it. but i did an install with an L5 in a lancer and that was only at 125ish. dont really remember the exact number. and he had a new alpine v12 amp.
