I was vacuuming my footwell over the weekend and noticed some weird wiring under my driver side dash...there is a pink and a red wire with a connector attached at the end, and nearby is another pair of the same colored wires with splices coming out of them within reach of the two mentioned before..
Any idea what these are for?
Thats nothing that I have seen in my 92 or 00 , it looks like something after market, i had connectors like that with my two power lock installs.
Yeah I got factory power locks/trunk and they work without those wires hooked up...
That's definitey aftermarket. Hit it with a multimeter, see what it says.
I smacked it around, but nothin doin! It just hangs around...
I doubt it...the dashboard is completely devoid of extra holes, and I actually found a bunch of calling cards for the previous owner, which happens to be a teacher at my old high school!
Call and ask, im sure he would laugh.
Gauges, neons, hardwired radar detector, additional power for a HU... There are a number of things those could go to.
