i bought a factory plug to attach to my new alpine deck, im looking for the wire that goes to illumination, the orange wire on the new plug is not labeled is that it? the orange with white stripe says dimmer?

check the amps with a 10 dollar electrical tester wich can be purchased at any auto store or walmart.
if it happens to be positive and meets the amperage criteria, go ahead and use it.
