Here's my first noob question. The am/fm/cd factory setup in my new 2003 Cav dosen't work right (dealer cut $$$ off ) . I was able to remove my Pioneer DEH-P47 DH radio/cd from my old car. The dimenisions are 7 3/4 wide, 3 high, 5 1/2 deep. Will this fit the stock recess? I know I have to remove the dash pad/instrument surrond, but I just need to know if the Pioneer will work before I remove everything.
If anyone has there old unit out mayby you could measure the back of the unit and that should tell me if it will fit.

With a dash kit and you reading the stickies up top, yes it'll work flawlessly.

it will fit, just get the k 420 kit and the saturn harness metra part 70 -7002 and the antenna adapter and youll be good to go. But the whole dash has to come out....well at least the top part.
you might need to cut out some of the rear plastic parts to get it to fir really well,
I had too, I had some parts on the back of the head unit that needed me to do some cutting.
I just used a dremel tool and it worked great, just left a mess to clean up.
like illdwes said, buy the harness for a saturn, I think if you ask for one for a tracker it should work as well(will not keep door chimes and need to wire up a switched power, but it is not to hard)

i shoulda thought about that. should i put the trim panel back on before i put the unit in or put the deck in before the trim panel. im having trouble getting it to snap into place/ putting the trim peice around the deck.

Thanks for info. Have the antenna adapt. from the old car. Pulled up Crutchfield, they show the Cav harness for 80.00. Don't need chimes and no Onstar. I pulled up a harness for a 2003 Saturn and its 15.00. Going to Crutchfields tommorow for harness.
