Kicker vs. Rockford Fosgate AMPS

Which is a better product? I'm re-doing my audio setup...right now I have Kicker ZX750.1 mono amp and a pair of 12" Kicker CVRs. I'm looking to upgrade my subs with a pair of 12" Alpine Type X's but not sure what amp to push them. I love my ZX750 but I've had a RF 800a2 a long long time ago and it pounded this @!#$ outta my subs. Should I go with a RF T20001BD or just add another ZX750 to the setup? Here's the specs on both:

T20001BD:
750 x 1 - 4 Ohms RMS
1500 x 1 - 2 Ohms RMS
2000 x 1 - 1 Ohm RMS

Now those are the conservative ratings so I'm expecting another 3-400 watts more from RF since they underrate their products.

ZX750:
375x1 @ 4ohms
750x1 @ 2ohms

Rated Power is at 892 watts RMS for the one i have now. What should I do?

I'd upgrade to Type R's than Type X's. X's have spider and surround separation problems.

Well I'd personally go with the Rockford Amp. Kicker is a great product but I've owned numerous rockford amps, and damn do they pound!! Another suggestion would be to take a look at Alpines V-Power Class D Mono-Blocks. I have 2 MRP-M650's pushing my CVR's and it's pretty crazy! Whatever you do, stick with one amp though! Trust me, I wanted to go dual amps for my subs, BIG MISTAKE!! Twice the Amps, Twice the wires, Twice the F'in headaches!!! Anyways good luck with whatever amp u choose!

Well I do agree with you on stay with one amp. But when I was running 3 12" Directed Comp X and 2 1200 Ds the wires were not that bad. You just have to know how to hide them. Run a 0 ga wire to the back and then put it on a block so that you don't have to run two power wires, that is a BIG help lol. But personally I would go with the Rockford 2000.1bd it is a BADASS amp lol. it WILL show you what your subs can really do lol. trust me. But Brent Dames that was not a knock on you at all, Just saying that yes the wires can get to you fast if you run everything THEN try to hide it, you have to hide each wire as you run it so it does not get overwhelming in the end. Anyway that is just my $0.02.

Def. understood jacob! This was my first time round with a multi-amp setup and it (atleast for me) was much quicker and faster to buy one bigass amp!. But anyways firecav, the verdicts in, buy the damn rockford!!!! jk man, looks like rockford is the better choice here.
