So I just got one of these and im looking to see what I will need as far as harnesses and what I will need to make my factory xm radio work with this.

So far the company that I got it from said I need SCOSCHE DCGM09B for the harness. Im just making sure this is correct and im not getting ripped off. Also what will I need to make my xm radio work bc ive been told I need a pioneer tuner for it to work?

The factory XM antenna will not work with an aftermarket stereo as they are different antenna. In order to use the Navtraffic feature you will need an $150+ adapter.... or if you dont want that feature the normal pioneer xm reciever will work. www.avic411.com is a good place to find info as well.

BTW i just got this H/U and lemme tell you it ROCKS. My only complaint is the gps isnt the best out there but it did its job well enough for my road trip to Indiana.

Bypassing the parking brake safety thing is easy and if you need help let me know.

Ken I just installed one of these in a Jeep Grand Cherokee...first off...this is a GREAT unit. I recommend doing the override, and pull the mute wire out, and move it into the slot above it (do a search for AVIC-D3 video override) You lose the ability to do GPS searches because it detects you exceeding 10mph via GPS, handbrake ground isn't there anymore.

There are special harnesses for it, I know we had a special one for the jeep I installed it in.
