im trying my first fiberglass box. i searched around and saw a bunch of great threads on here with people doing fiberglass enclosures. now i have noticed not everyone uses the same fabric??
now should i go with fleece?? or some type of cloth. i noticed someone did like t shirt material almost.
what is the right material?
If you are planning a wild shape with curves and contours, you will need stretchey material, then go with fleece. Get the better quality fleece that stretches in all directions and make sure it is stretched as tight as you can get it, that way the weight of the thick resin will not sag the material when soaked through.

I have always liked a thinner material. I found that fleece soaks up resin like no other, and still doesn't do much for strength after all the resin you used.
Fleece also is a bitch to work with if you sand down into it during the finishing stages.
I would suggest buying both, and do a little small project and see what you like working with the most.

If you are glassing something small with alot of curves, i suggest (as stupid as this may sounds) tights. You can get them at walmart or maybe the wife has an old pair laying around they will let you use. They will conform to about any curve with ease.
