i recently bought 2 15" subs that im going to be making a box for out of 3/4 MDF. the each need 3 cubic feet of air and a 8 inch port. im an idiot when it comes to math like this so how long and wide do my sides of the box need to be? any help is greatly appreciated! thanks
well see the problem with those is. the dimentions it gives me for the box with 3 cubic feet is 10.30 x 28.04 x 17.31. last time i checked my car isnt over 48" wide in the trunk... and a 15 " sub wont fit on a 10" side so i cant flip the box
15 tall, 32 wide, 24 deep. With displacement of subs and port, should put you just about dead on 3 cubic feet.
thanks for the help man, but my trunk isnt 24 " tall either lol
i think im going to go with 17 x 32 x 21. that helped tho thanks

I don't recall posting 24 tall, 24 deep yes, and 15 tall. You might have problems fitting your dimensions in without cutting stuff, and the tortion bars/support is probably going to be in the way as well.
well if its 15" tall is that going be be high enough to fit a 15" sub on it?
Measure them. If not, make it slightly bigger. Most 15 inch subs are 15 inches in diameter, hence the name.
well i knew that but plus the diameter of the mounting plate makes it a bit bigger. thats why im going 17" tall. thanks for the help
be ready to cut if you want to go that high. or build inthe trunk
jeff dont even bother with this kid. lol. doesnt know how big his 15 in sub is. probably bottom of the line subwoofer
