ok so i got a clarion double din deck which i need to mount... can i do this without a mounting bracket or do i absolutely need one? and if i do can you guys tell me which 1 need?

i mounted mine without a bought kit, just fabbed up some metal brackets and cut out some abs plastic as a trim piece. looks better then a kit and harder to steal.
