Hey guys,
I'm just tweaking and want to change my stereo system around a bit in my '01 Z24. Here is what I got:
Kenwood Mp3 deck (good still I like it does the job) Mp5022
Sealed 12'' box
1 MTX 3000 12'' sub
MTX RT251D amp powering the sub
the speakers are all stock and do the job fine for me
Basically I'am looking at improving the bass a bit.
I dunno if I should scrap the amp/sub/box and get a whole new set or I was thinking of switching the box to a ported box instead? If I go new I will go 10' to give myself more room in the trunk.
cant believe you like the stock speaks especially since you have to lower the volume for them to sound good which means you have lower sub volume. so basically if you upgraded your speaks you could go louder with the stereo volume and youd prolly like your bass a bit more. but in the case that you dont like my opininon, how much are you looking to spend on this upgrade?
"I did it because I wanted to see what it would look like. You should be greatful that I even told you that it would look good. If your to dumb to use photoshop and change the color of your own car then you don't need to see it changed. I'm not going to give my work away. I'll sell the pic to you though for $15."-Adam Kalin
^^JBO is about not being that guy
The #1 reason why putting a sub in dosn't always fix the problem. Good call Chris.
I didn't think that changing the stock speakers would make that much of a difference either. But after throwing some Alpine Type S's all around the improvement is extremely noticeable.
