I have a clarion DX675USb deck, which I upgraded from a DB165 (I know......its old), anyways I had my previous deck which was running just fine,(

My amp and subs are grounded properly and everything, the only wires I did not hook up as I wasn't sure where to wire them into was....
-Yellow wire (Bus power lead)----> does this need to be hooked up to battery or is there a better spot inside the car?
-Brown wire (Phone mute lead)-------> don't think I will ever use my cell on there.
-Orange/White wire (Illumination lead)------> I never install this wire as most decks don't really need it
-Blue wire (Auto antenna lead)---------> I obviosly don't have a power antenna
So my big question is why would the deck cut my system? the amp stays on, but deck resets itself and resumes playing as long as I turn volume down

I have posted this for someone before, but I will let you in on what I did as well... I hooked my power wire directly to the battery and put an in line fuse on it, and grounded it to a good ground source (not through the harness adapter) Try this and see if it helps. Mine only did it after I got above a certain volume, so it was evident that it was needing more power. Just run a tester to the battery before you go about trying to hide and run wires. Hope this helps!

it could b u need a bigger amp for if u have subs at like 40 volume my subs turn off bc at that point the amps shut off bc of the lack of power to go higher
I was thinking what if I run the constant power through the red constant power wires found in the stearing column? wouldn't that provide as much power as need to run everything? and then put bus power wire to the battery directly, and leave the red switch(power) wire connected so it can be controlled by the ignition?

only problem is you should check the fuse on that constant wire. or you could open up a whole other can of worms lol. jst make sure you dont tap into any theft systems or anything like that. and i usually hook up the yellow wire. isnt it also a key off memory power wire too?
not sure but I had no problems not hooking it up on my last deck so not sure lol, Glad to see your from Hamilton lol, half hour from wher eI was before I moved out here lol
, the fuse is not blown if the deck keeps resetting itself and turning back on

nevermind, I figured out what it was, my deck was not getting the power it needed from the factory wiring, so I kept it hooked up to the harness and ran an additional wire to the cigarette lighter for a little extra power, I tested it out by playing a song called "Bass I love you" at full bast and the deck did not cut out or anything. Thank you guys for your input suggestions were appreciated, btu I got her working perfectly now

now it sucks bringing this damn thread back from the dead but the deck is at it all over again and its driving me nuts, it sucks I can go as loud as I want if I disconnect the amp through the connector in the back......whats the chances could be a problem with something else also? cause if its just components running my system runs perfect, but then again I connect the amp through the back then problems arise with the deck shutting off, but hey rather bring back from the dead then just keep opening another one for the same problem lol
