i have a 01 sunfire with factory cd player
i purchased a rca converter to hook up a sub and amp
everything works fine excpet for the remote power
what color wire to i tap into the factory harness to power on and off my and when the radio is on
i tried the orange, i get power but when the car is off the amp is still on
the wiring diagram on here says its the pink cable in slot B3, but its empty

please help

You need to tap off of something that turns on with the accessory. Under your steering wheel there's a big cluster of wires, tap into the big brown wire.

is there a wire i can tap into in the factory wire harness?

Not sure about that but the brown wire would work guaranteed and is easy to get to.

Nope, since 2000+ use a databus, there is no "accessory" or "ignition" wire.
