Would you be able to tell me where the factory amp is located? I tried a search but couldn’t find the result I’m looking for.
It's for a 2003 Cavalier
Personally i'm not even sure that I have one, but looking at the rear speaker wiring, i have a 4'pin plug, leading me to think that there is one.

in ur trunk on the left side, pull the carpet back. its a silver or gray box. thats where it was in my 04, so im guessing it should be in the same spot for an 03?

actually i needed to take it out because for some reason i dont' have the higher end factory speaker that usually goes with the amp lol
so there's only a 2 pin plug on the speaker side
i ended up taking out the stock amp and speakers, hooked up the aftermaket headunit direction to a pair of aftermarket 6''x9''s
