Components, 4 channel amp, mono amp suggestions
Saturday, January 17, 2009 7:58 PM
Well as the title sates i want some suggestions on two (2) sets of components (4 in total) and a 4 channel amp to power them. also i am looking for a 3000.1 RMS amp. i know its allot but im most likely going to upgrade my sub from a Fi audio BL to a BTL. however this transition is far in the future but still want some suggestions. Mostly i want to know a good set of components to hit the higher bass notes ,say from 63 hz and up if possible. spending limit is not a problem just suggest what you have or what you want. i want to only upgrade my components once so i want the best. amp i dont want to spend too much on just suggest them as a pair tho (components and amp together) i want to have a amp that can easily power the components.

also is it a good idea to put components up front and in back? i kind of want to put the pair in back where the arm rest for the rear seat is.

BTL????
You are crazy anton lol. Put a bigger amp on the BL and see what ya think, because the BTL is one hell of a power hungry beast. Be ready for all types of upgrades

i will be ready for those upgrades
but like i said it is far off in the future it could be 1 year from now im not sure. however it may not even go in my cav. i plan to buy a winter blazer and i was thinking of making it an audio beast! but either way if i got the btl or kept the BL like you said a bigger and better amp will do good. so ill take the 3000 rms amp and put that on the bl. still would like a suggestion on what kind of amp to go with.

thanks

if you want a sundown, don't buy new, they are retarded expensive.
Check out www.db-r.com, they sell refurbs at pretty much half price

skip rear components, skip 4 channel, put money towards a nicer set of components and 2-channel amp for them IMO.

moneys no object, try rainbow. try dynaudio. their decent stuff starts around $500 and goes over a grand for componet sets.

When I have kids, I'm going to show them every post that you have started, or have commented on. Anton, I can't help but laugh. You are the soul reason I wake up in the morning.

Go to the Sundown website and go to the online dealers. I got mine in like 3 days, after I ordered from DB-R, straight from Sundown. But I got mine new. I refuse to use used compnents in my sub system anymore after some bad experiences and they didnt have any refurbs in stock. They didnt have hardly any except for the saz-3000d's which are like half price.

I love my amp. Once I got the ground loop cleared up it really started to shine. Also it didnt really start opening up on the bass til I got it wired to 1 ohm.

It won't be till at least march till I order the 1500d, need time to save up some money. Just bought all my 0 gauge wiring for it

I cant go above 4 gauge with my amp. I'm already overpowering my sub a little bit anyways but its taking it just fine. The only complaint I have is the LED on the amp and bass knob is ungodly bright and I cant mount it where I can see or it blinds me.
