ok so first off i have a 97 sunfire it has an alpine CDE-102 Head Unit it keeps popping with an error code saying DC Error.... well i looked in my manual and it says................. Malfunction occured result of the speaker cable shorting on the car chasis- Route the cable correctly, and set POWER IC to POW ON.......
question one where is this wire they are talking about
question two anyone know how to switch the POWER IC to POW ON??

one of the speaker cables? disconnect them all, hook each up one at a time.
there is no sound coming out at all
are you using the stock radio speakers wires? if so.. stop it now. go out get you some real speaker wire and start from there.
i dont really know how to rewire everything i jus was using the stock stuff jus want some music while i drive to work lol
Check the manual, it should show you where the switch is. Might be a physical switch on top of the unit. I bet it is.
i looked it says its in the setup menu when its turned on but i scrolled and cant find it any where...... its weird it was working fine then all the sudden jus did this
still nothin i cant get to the power ic menu my head unit skips where it is suppose to be
