sub problem

I have 1 10" JL audio with a 600 watt sony explode amp. When i hooked it all up the sub barely even moves and you cant even tell that its working. The reason why i am confused is because i have even tried turning the amp all the way up along with the bass on the stereo. What could be the problem?

hook another speaker up to it and be careful with the volume. if its loud you know the amp and signal is fine and the sub is the issue, if u can't hear it chances are the sub is fine and the amp or the signal is the issue.

Probably the amp... So many variables and so little info in this thread, it's tough to tell. You have a JL sub, which, even if it's just a W0, can be a fine little sub... hooked up to an unreliable, crappy ass amp. If it's in your budget find a new amp. BTW, what model of sub IS it?

Check your ground. Those Xplods will run on a dirty ass ground. Not well but they will run.
