OHM question?
Friday, January 08, 2010 12:30 AM
I have two dvc 2ohm subs and 4, 2 , and 1 ohm stable amp. Will i be able to run these subs so they are wired at 1 ohm to get the most out of my amp?

TADAAAA!

2ohm is the best option. 0.5 will probably ruin your amp.

Yes and no. Technically, you could run one coil off of each sub, and either short, put a resistor, or put a variable resistor across the other coils, but that gets very complicated for proper sound. Your options are 8 ohm, 2 ohm, and 1/2 ohm with those subs.

Your car may do 13 sec @ 103 mph, but my car does 146db @ 35 hz.
