2 or 4 ohm?

so i am about to buy 2 kicker L5 15s for my SUV. I plan on getting the kicker zx 1500.1 amp to run them off of. I want to wire them at 2 ohms so each sub will get 750 watts a piece from the amp. Should I buy 2 ohm or 4 ohm subs to do this or will it work either way? also, should i use 0 gauge wire and should i get a cap? because my alternater isn't a high performance and I don't have a yellow top battery. should i just do the big 3 and be fine or should i invest in a yellow top and a better alternator? i really dont wanna buy the alternator but i will purchase the battery if necessary!

Most SUV's come with decently stout alternators that should be fine for pushing that amp.

As for wiring, no sense in not going as large as the amps inputs allows, if you can afford it.

Cap? no.

New battery? Maybe sometime if you feel the need.

Big 3? Always.

Now, L5's are dual ohm subs, so if you want to get 2 of them down to a 2ohm load, you get the dual 2 ohm version. That way when wired in series/parallel, you get a total of 2 ohms.
Here is a diagram:
