Hey guys, So im installing an alarm on my 02 cav. Im shocked that there is no ignition wire that runs to the cd player and am wondering where i can hook it up that wont risk me not being able to start and drive the car.

Never installed an alarm before but wouldn't it need constant power?
Anyway, the radio does have an ignition power wire... That's how it turns on when you turn the key.

It does not have an ignition. It has a class 2 data bus that tells the radio to turn on.
Get all of your connections from under the steering column.
