So here's the deal.....
I have a 2005 Sunfire that I bought from a dealership used with an aftermarket alarm system/keless entry. My friend borrowed my car and left the headlamps on overnight; so obviously.. dead battery in the morning. He boosted it for me to "do me a favor" but I'm pretty sure he did this incorrectly because my keyless entry and alarm no longer works. When I look under the dash, I can see the alarm's shock sensor (which still blinks when the car is bumped) but the key fob no longer does anything.
On another note, the way my alarm is wired into my deck, the music will stay on until I lock the doors. But now, obviously, it doesn't. It still will shut off after about 10 minutes by itself, though.
I have no idea why the alarm affects the deck like this, but the only thing I can tell you is that its a Pioneer Premier. I have no idea what the alarm system is called, but one of the plastic mod pieces under the dash says "ProTec."
I would love some help or suggestions...
Thanks
u have to replace the internal fuzes...my cimarron had the same problem cause the idiot shorted the car when he jumped it...the fuzes probably blew and are very easy to fix. at least u can start and unlock yours...mine wouldnt unlock or start until i fixed the fuzes. lol

Where are the internal fuses located?
What kind of alarm is it?
I don't know the brand, but there is writing under the dash that says "ProTec"
Your going to have to locate the main brain for it. No one on here can tell you where it was installed at due to it being able to be placed in any number of locations. I would start with under the dash then work your way to the cluster area. Just look for boxes that have fuses on them and start checking.
