^ Doesn't always fit like that, I think you might have problems if you have it right there, unless you don't have A/C.

For the time being, mine has a screen over the inlet, I need to put a pipe on there and run it to a filter, someday.

The McGuyver way:

One medium sized rubber band, approx. diameter of the turbo inlet.
One pair of nylon pantyhose.
Stick of plain bubblegum

Cut the pantyhose so you have a small tube like sock, wrap around compressor inlet and secure with rubber band.
The bubblegum is to chew while you do this, it is NOT optional.

Actually I don't think this is a good idea, the nylon would probably melt with the high underhood temps......but it sounded good.

Do what shifted did and put some kinda screen over the inlet....or stay up all night fixing the A/C lines and install a proper air filter. It is no fun to blow a motor because you suck up something that your motor can't digest and make power off of, like say a beetle, rock, marmot, small infant, etc.

Good Luck!

the engine he posted is a 2.2, only thing that would get in the way of that filter is i would say the battery, but yeah on a 2.4 it would be an extremly tight fit

^^yep ur right, but i have about 3/4" clearance between the battery, it does what i need it to do. I never checked to see what motor his had, nor did i know about the problem with the a/c lines. But considering the only thing ive ever boosted is my car, i hope you guys can forgive me for not knowing
