Varies aplication to aplication. Really depends on the condition of your engine.

Performance cars do not win car shows and show cars do not win races.
It's up to you to decide which you'd rather win.
well im doing a rebuild i have a 96 thats out 30 over and have 9:5:1 with a garette t/25bb turbo just wondering what might be 2 much before the head comes flying off or the block cracks
i did 13 psi reliably then 15 psi for about 100 miles. gonna try a tune for 18 psi on 103 octane. if my timing was more retarded or i was using 100-110 octane i think it would have never blown at 15. i know the timing blew it by reading the rod bearing marks. I just bent a rod and cracked a piston. i did not take a chunk out the side of the piston i believe this shows it was not leaned out. my goal is to get 240-250whp on cast internals then switch to forged after i know my tune is good, this way if anything bad happens i dont whipe out the crank. good luck..
