i have a 2002 sunfire, and its a 2200 motor automatic transmission. I was wondering wat i would need to do if i turbo charger the car? will i need to have a new ecu chip or reprogram my old one? or wat cuz i have no clue... and will i just have to remove my govenor or have it reset??? any help would be great. Thanks

if you got a automatic you are better off with a supercharger. Thats just my opionion though. Its much more easy to set up than a turbo would be.
a auto doesn't have to let off the gas in between shifts... no spool up time between shifts.. holds max boost.. better if auto tranny's were geared better.

To the author - read the stickies and FAQ's at the top of the boost forum, alias already gave you a couple links. From the questions you're asking you seem quite new to boost and it would be too much to list everything you should know before attempting a project such as this. The best advice I can give you is to read and research, and even if you think you know something you may be wrong. Check out the turbo parts list and research what each part is, what it does, how it would install, how it can be replaced, how it can be tuned (if necessary), etc. Many have done what you would like to do, just know that it will take alot of time, money, patience, and knowledge.
To get you started, decide what numbers you'd like to reach. Then look into turbo sizes and match one up to your engine, determine the parts you'd need/want, and determine how you would tune; but these are just suggestions to start you off.
