quality intercoolers other than JRC

Boost is new to me so brand names of ICs are something I dont know about. I hear about precision IC. These seem like their some of the next best things.

If you can just give me a good Idea of some names to look for and a good place to buy some of them. I'd really appreaciate it.

this is one of the last things I need before I throw everything on the car.

Greddy, HKS, Spearco, Griffen, ect. are all very good brands for intercoolers. I personally use a Griffen on my car.

I wouldn't really ever consider JRC to be a quality intercooler (compared the top brands), they just sell very inexpensive IC's with good customer service. You can expect to pay 2-3X the price of a JRC IC from a top notch company.

I've been looking on ebay (unfortunatly) and ssautochrome sells spearco (or spearco knockoffs) for about 170. 27X6.5X3.5. Bar n plate. up to 500hp. like, i.5 pressure drop at1000cfms or something like that. Pretty good size n price. Just don't know if it's a piece of crap IC. I've heard some pretty scary stuff about his turbos. But i've also heard that he redesigned them and now he's doing alright.

I still have to look around before I make a final descision. And I also have to find a decent mani ( I know about happythoughts47 n her manis). Looks like ebay will be my friend for finding both of those unless someone post up that they have either for sale.

The ones listed above are good. But the best and proven in my opinion are Precision Turbo's . Here are some listed on their ebay store that are pretty bad a ss. Check it .

I got mine off of ebay for $100 bucks and it works perfectly fine. It's actually a very good quality intercooler, just generic which doesn't matter to me!

I'm using a JRC right now, and I'm getting at least ambient inlet air temps past the FMIC. In terms of pressure drop, I couldn't tell you, but so far zero boost leaks. They're decently made for the price you pay.

the pressure drop was about 1 psi. i was running 21 psi from a gt35r with a .63ar exhaust housing and a s trim comp housing 56 trim wheel

screw it, I went generic. JRC;s site has been done too long anyways.

I like the look of precision and the reputable feeling that I got from them, but then after seeing the ssautochrome one, they are the exact same just with out the name on the side of em!
