Fuel Issues...REALLY Could use Some Advice (2200)

Fuel Mods are as follows:

*19lb injectors off a '96 Grand Prix 3100 (tried 30lbs and the car would NOT stop running pig rich)
*Converted injector harnesses from (small) 2200 stock to fatter ones off of a ^^^ and similar cars
*50pis idle fuel pressure
*Walbro 255lph fuel pump
*B&M Command Flo adj. FPR

*.4 bar on the turbo (5-7psi)

The car just isn't getting enough fuel as the turbo starts boosting into the 5+ psi range (which can happen around 3-4k RPM.) The a/f immediately makes a dash for the red and will bury itself there.

I know a lot of people were able to run their cars fine before all this tuning software came out, and I'm curious as to how. Am I missing something in my setup? I just wanna see what people are doing (if possible, without electronic intervention) to get more fuel at WOT. Vacuum boosters? High idle PSI? I'm really in a bind, here...hope you guys can shed some light on the topic. I've done a good amount of research and still find myself with the same questions.

19lb injectors are not going to cut it with boost, at all. Thats the problem right there. You'll have to turn your idle pressure way down to get them to idle right.

The problem is that the idle was turned WAY down with the 30lb Accel injectors and I still managed to foul a $13 Iridium plug--the other 3 weren't far behind when I pulled them tonite.

19lbs, are stock injectors..they aren't going to last in boost, especially in higher rpms, get some bigger injectors

I was actually thinking about trying those out next...thing the computer will be able to handle them better than it handled the 30lb'ers?

First off, to all the people who made a genuine effort to help me in this thread, thank you. The FMU and Z injectors most definitely have me pointed in the right direction now.

But in regards to this...

Wideband sensors (even narrowband), HP Tuners and all that jazz are relatively new. Just because they're a better way of tuning doesn't mean a person is insane if they don't use them. How did people run massive engines putting out insane horsepower 40 years ago? They listened, they smelled and they learned to read the signs of how an engine is running--ECU/PCM or not.

I'm not trying to start a war here and everyone is definitely entitled to their opinion.

The honest truth is that last year I was grossing enough money to be banking 2-grand a month (at least, after all bills and spending money.) So I'd have ALL the goodies right now, if I still had that position. But with my recent job change, I'm spending my funds where I need to (house, my car payments, etc) until the real money starts rolling in.

Again, thanks for all your help, guys--I really appreciate it. And as for the above, it just gets old being be-littled in this forum, especially seeing as how I've been on here for over 6 years, help people ALL THE TIME to learn new things and make parts for this community that no one else will make. Sorry if anyone takes it the wrong way. Cheers

I was running Ford Racing 30 lbs injectors on my 99 2.2. The car would run which, but not enough to really foul out the plugs. I had those injectors in for about 1 1/2 years without any problems. The 30 lbs injectors, Cartech FMU, and Vortec T-Rex inline fuel pump were fine when I was on the 275hp & 306 tq tune.

275hp & 306tq - 1999 2.2 ohv

-1996 2.4 liter + Turbo + Built motor + Torco + More boost = Lots o' Power

built rear-end,Dodge Viper spec T56 6 speed, bolt-ons = wheelies at the track!!!!!
