My plans were to go with a full MSD igniton. However, it was brought to my attention that the hotter spark may actually hurt the boosted engine? Does anybody have any thoughts/experiences with this?

I was running the MSD DIS-2 with stock coils on my s/c'ed 2.4L... I blew it up, but I don't think it was from the spark.... more the lean condition
I know Patrick with the white 'vert (2000 computer swap) is running the MSD as well, stock coils too... he's dialed in 4 degrees of retard and is running it on 87 octane tho. He's also had no problems.
done right its a great mod to any motor, you better not be lean when you put it on though, the motor will die real fast
