sunbird gt turbo?

hey guys, i did a search and couldn't find anything even though im sure someone has talked about it. I was wondering if I could use the turbo setup from an 87 sunbird gt turbo on my 95 2.2 cavy. Im sure that it wont directly bolt up, but i was wondering what parts (if any) I could use from it, and what else I would need to get. I thought about maybe using some parts, and then just getting a new turbo and mani? If anyone could let me know, or link me to a post about this, it would be very much appreciated, thanks in advance.

This is asked all of the time, the answer is no. The manifold wont bolt up and the turbo is too small for the 2.0, let alone your larger, higher compression 2.2. None of the charge pipes fit, there is no intercooler.. It's just an all-around poor set-up. Even if anything were able to swap over, I wouldn't. Nothing fits though so I guess there isn't even anything to worry about.

I did the exact same back in 2000 on my first turbo kit, over spun the turbo and brass was everywhere, it was fun, but not reliable at all.

HP Tuners | Garrett T3/T04B | 2.5" Charge Pipes | 2.5" Downpipe | 650 Injectors | HO Manifold | Addco front/rear | Motor Mounts | HKS SSQV | Spec stage 3 | AEM UEGO Wideband | Team Green LSD | FMIC | 2.3 cams | 2.3 oil pump swap | 280WHP | Now ECOTECED
