Boosted Eco's, what injectors?
Friday, May 18, 2007 2:22 PM
I am looking for a set of injecots for my 05 eco.. Something 400cc's and up.
Anyone know where I can find some decently priced green tops or a link to some other injectors that will work?

I have a set of the GM Ecotec Supercharger Injectors for 03-05.

Perfect if you can get your car flashed with the GM Supercharger tune.

I bought my Bosch/Ford 440's from a place on ebay called Blue Oval Racing. Wasn't too expensive but if you go that large you might need an AFPR to help adjust your idle(if you don't already have one).

I hope you have a good way of controlling such large injectors.

If you're just starting out with the turbo setup, 440 CC injectors are over kill UNLESS you plan on going straight for a power improvement of over 300 HP or better.

There are calculations online that you can find that will help you calculate the approximate injector size you'd need for your HP goal while not going over 80% duty cycle at wide open throttle.

Overkill was my idea when it came to fuel. Idle fuel pressure was lowered and then I used my SAFC to PULL fuel throughout the RPM range rather than add as most people try to. Using a 4:1 FMU, I had to worry about running rich than anything. This was also for a setup that ran 11-13psi daily and max of 17psi on a large t3/t04 turbo(60/63). Not everyone's setups will benefit from these injectors. I had initially planned on doing a lot more modifying than I did and the greentop injectors would have given me that growing room.

I've noticed there has been a lot more progress boosting Ecotecs since I did mine almost 2 years ago. This was just my experience and isn't necessarily the best way to go.
