i didnt read through all of the posts, but i am assuming he is still running the HO motor. i can only imagine the power he is making since the 086 head flows a lot better than our heads on the LD9!

Im still tuning it. i got about three test drives done, then i take the datalogs and run them throuh a VE analyzer program to generate a new table. its gonna take about a week before thats all said and done. i have had the boost go up as high as 13psi so far, but my burst plate is set to begin opening at about 10psi. ill close it more as i get closer to my desired fuel map.
i would like to post a few pics here, but do i have to have premium account to do so? i dont see any buttons for uploading pics with my BS membership account.

good job, but your not the first. theres a local guy around here who has one on his black 2.4. it needs a tune, but hes got it in there running.
I want to share something with you - the three sentences that will get you through life. Number one, 'cover for me', Number two, 'oh, good idea, boss', Number three, 'it was like that when I got here.'
Umm, I doubt the black one has the HO engine, it's probably just a regular LD9. Wee bit of difference...

well, i have looked pretty hard, and i cannot find anyone else that has one driving on the road right now, LD9, LD2 or LGO. at least that has posted it on the internet. if you know of one, i would be very interested in seeing some pics of it. do you think he would let you take a couple? is he a member here?

I see. The black one has the ld9 I believe. He is actually a jco niagara member too, I think.

he contacted me after i made this post. he said he has driven the car, but its currently down for interior mods. still no quartermile pass from that car yet. so, as far as im concerned, we're neck and neck right now. lol

farmerz24 had it done a few years ago. but it was sticking out of his hood.
still , hats off to you on the custom work. keep usupdated.
thanks.
i did have to remove the two braces under the hood with a grinder, but with the black fabric piece back on, you cant tell anything was done there. hoods shuts perfect now.

here, i'll help:
outtahere... are the pics old? does the car actually run? the pulley i see doesnt look like it would work for the serp. belt, looks like maybe a rib or 2 to large to me. and the FPR doesnt have a hose on it...??
lol, sorry... jw thats all.
yeah, thats a picture from when it was about a week from finished. and yes, i am using a 5 rib belt on the 7 rib pulley. it works fine, tracts perfect, i have had the motor upto 5K RPM's so far, and it has not thrown a belt. also, it rides in the 5 left most ribs on the pulley. i saw no need to make a new one if that one would track okay.
yes, as a matter of fact, i just got in from a drive in it. its doing real good, making 13 psi a soon as i hit the gas, no matter what the engine speed is. pretty fk'n sweet. im finding my injectors are too small, i have 35#'s but i am maxing them out at the 13psi 4800 rpm area, so im going to stay under that until i can either get a rising rate FPR, or a set of bigger injectors, or both. not sure which way to go yet. need to do more research.

no hood clearance issues here, and running an invader hood which sits lower, but i am running the charger outlet towards the head (90* rotated from OUTAHERE)
the 5 rib belt seems to hold the pulley well enough if you run a good quality one. i like how OUTAHERE is running standalone, cant wait to get away from the pressure regulator myself. Oh and no worries about throwing belts over 5K RPM
when i first drove the car it saw higher RPM then that cause it took off quicker than i expected.
what kind of AFR are you running in the lower RPMs? and since i havent got around to reading your post, what are you running for the bottom end of the motor?

heres a datalog screen shot, its only about 4 seconds long, but you can see im reaching the highest output of my injectors at 4.7k rpms. need more juice.

Just because its bigger doesnt mean its better, its the wrong displacement for the motor, an M62 would yield much better results
Just like putting a M90 on a LSJ or L61, its not any better than the M62 as far as performance

It would be cool to see some updated pics. Do you have any recent track times, dyno #s or videos with this setup? If so please post.

Wade- sorry, no, the stock head gasket fried before i acheieved a good tune. i have all the parts i need to reassymble the motor now, so maybe in a few weeks i can get those up.
Rodimus- Please explain how forcing more air into a motor is a bad thing? i dont understand.
