Hey All. I have been considering removing and selling my turbo kit and selling my car. My question is can you remove the reflash from the ecu or would it just be easier to install a new unflashed ecu to convert the car back to stock? Thanks in advance!

he has the GM reflash not HPT
Im sure the dealer can reflash it back to stock but it might be cheaper to find a junkyard ecu
NO GM LOCKS THE PCM AFTER THE SUPERCHARGER REFLASH.

if the dealer can lock....the dealer can unlock
Ya its a 01 2.4L that has been flashed with the GM reflash. If it would be easier to just swap out the ecu I would rather do that, then the flashed ecu can be sold with the kit if needed. Is there anything I should look for or be specific on when getting a replacement ecu?

one that comes from non-egr cars and correct transmision of course
the car runs fine N/A with the reflash.. just keep the injectors in there.
-Trailblazer SS - not so custom 6.0L - custom intake - custom tune
- (1) 2.4L on an engine stand (1) blown trans (2) good quad trans (1) eco trans = party
it might not throw any codes because of the reflash, but it will be running pig rich

Sounds everybody. I guess now I just have to truely decide what I would like to do. Its hard to let it all go, but I do believe its time for a change.

Sorry to bring this back, but I called the yard today and he said he has one for my year and model with the manual transmission, but he said I will probably have to take it to the dealer to get it programmed? Is this guy correct? Also when I do install it will it change the millage to the that computers or will my millage stay the same? Thanks.

All you need to do is the security relearn check out the Faq Library for it.
Awesome. So the millage should remain the same correct (I think thats what I gathered from reading that)?

mileage is stored in the BCM , so yes it will be the same
