Well my racetronix fuel pump died a week before my tuning date that i have been waiting for 2 months to have done, and I am wondering if any one knows what the specs of a stock pump in a 2002 Sunfire 2.4L are? or any dynoes on stock pumps that have made 300whp?
my main worry is that it wont be able to work with the 750cc injectors.
let me know if you have any info, as would really like to get this tuned so I can sell it. to take possession of my M3

blue car (R.I.P) - 240whp @7psi..
silver car - 305whp 315lbs.tq @15psi (91 Octane) or 420whp & 425lbs.TQ @20psi (94 octane+Alcohol Injection)
All dynos run on a Mustang dyno
Are you sending the racetronix back? I do not know if anyone has really pushed the stock pump. A friend of mine with a 02 Ecotec cavy ran 19psi on the stock pump, but not exactly sure what hp level that was.

im running the stock fuel pump on my car

Not sure what I am doing right now Racetronix is next to impossible to get a hold of. they dont post a phone number (i did get one but they were mad that i found it and called them??) and their email doesnt work... I will never do any business with them again I can say that much.
are the pumps in the ecotec the same as the LD9? because I am only goin to 15psi... and what ever it gives me for power thats what it will be.. i think my pump may be good than...

josh - did your fuel pump just outright stop working or what were your issues?
im running 7psi on a fully built motor with a ported blower and the 2.5" pulley with meth.

Yes they are the same. In fact the pump that ran the Ecotec on 19psi is in my car now, because mine died.

well i racetronix tells me this hose is @!#$ so they sent me a new one.. if it doesn't work then I am just going to run the stock pump and throw my 750cc injectors in and have it tuned to what ever 15psi of boost will get me on an aggressive tune (becaused i don't feel like buying another boost gauge) but I am more then confident i will hit some good power numbers if I was hitting 240whp @ 7psi

let us know more about any racetronix issues you have.....
This is the first one I have heard.
How long did you run it BTW.
I would not trust a stock pump for that boost level and injector size, but let us know how it goes.
just make sure (if it works-the stocker i mean) you let the person buying it know that the fuel pump could go at any time.
ive seen a stocker go out with the M62 kit on an eco before...
didnt brian (spdracrz) have a stock pump in his car when he was doing the 15 psi's back in the day?

other than racetronix being impossible to get a hold of, the pump does look like a quality part no complaint there, just their customer service sucks!
well the pump ran like @!#$ from the moment i put it in, and completely gave out 3 days later and about 80kms total. Do you know the specs of a stock pump by any chance? I have been trying to find it so i know if i would be ok or not...

i ran the stock pump to 17psi..i believe it pissed it off, but still seemed to deliver fuel appropriately..

I'm one of the first people to actually try the ractronix pump, and to be honest with the amount of power I threw at it, it didn't flinch at all. The pump they use is a walbro unit with their own fancy red shiny cover deal, and wiring.
taking off the red shiny racetronix thing, you can see the part number for the walbro.
-Trailblazer SS - not so custom 6.0L - custom intake - custom tune
- (1) 2.4L on an engine stand (1) blown trans (2) good quad trans (1) eco trans = party
^^^ does it still have the fuel cut problems, then?
Stock pump - Free Flows 80psi@28gph (gallons per hour)
Operating Flow - 45psi@20gph
this what your looking for??
this doesnt have fuel cut problems because it has an integrated way to fill the cup.
Im running 9 psi on an almost fully built OHV with 36# injectors and the stock pump hasnt had any problems. Not sure what its runnin, hasnt seen a dyno yet, but it pulls pretty hard

I've never actually had fuel cut problems.
