I have been running the LS1 TB on the M90 for a couple years.... works great, and intake velocities stay down to about 180fps.

Id like to see them modded to a 2.3 manifold, using an adapter or welded on flange

Can anyone dig up the pics of it done? I remember seeing the pics

wouldnt do a damn bit of good unless the flange was as large.

Needing 2.3 oil pump stuff? PM me...

Which is why I said welded on flange

^I'm actually in progress with that. But it will hardly be much of a 2.3L intake at the entrance when I'm finished. I'm pretty much cutting the runners off the top of the intake and welding them onto some 3x5" 0.25" wall tubing which I'll slope the same as the original plenum.

I want a LS1 75mm TB. That thing is HUGE! now the question is will that bolt up to the M45 S/C?

not without an adaptor flange or something.

im going with a new intake manifold probably hence the new tb but with the m45 i cant see you getting a full 75mm opening on the mouth of the s/c

-Trailblazer SS - not so custom 6.0L - custom intake - custom tune
- (1) 2.4L on an engine stand (1) blown trans (2) good quad trans (1) eco trans = party

SpyhunteR where did you get the intake flange? Or did you just modify a HO intake flange? Thanks.

I'm in the process of doing the same thing with my HO intake so what I did was buy a tb spacer for a 96-up Chevy truck and I'm going to have that welded to my HO intake before I send it out to be extrude honed.

Spyhunter,
How did you get all the electrical connectors on the TB to work? are they the same or did you have to change plugs/make adapters?
I'm thinking about using this combo on a turbo '94 2.2 turbo, if i turbo it.

Give me time....

Also, I did tell some here how you can do it..... just by going to the junk yard.

No one ever listens to me.

MY specific intake manifold. I had a throttle body flange fabbed up and I also had the head flange fabbed up locally at a cnc water cutting joint in Vegas. The ls1 t/b uses the similar connectors as the ecotec and LD9. So they connect just the same.

so now my question is.......

how are you boys setting up the vac lines and such with using this TB?

I just did this conversion on my car a couple of weeks ago. I am using the HO manifold and I cut off the stock flange and used an 80mm LS1 ported TB and billet spacer. I had the spacer welded onto the HO manifold and it worked out great and was fairly simple. Looks almost stock

I am going to be running a vacuum block to connect everything. Along with braided stainless to the wastegate/boost controller and bov.

I will get some pics when its done. I just got a box of goodies from summit!! I am still working on the vacuum block.

I took a "vacumm tree" from a ford mustang at the J/Y, and ran one large vac line from the manifold to the tree and then the tree gives me like 10 branches to all the different accessories. It has so many, i had to cap a few unused ports off. So, there are no vacumm lines going to the TB. just electrical connections and cable.
cheap and simple.

GREATLY APPRECIATED, to those that posted.

would using the brake booster as the main vac source to the vac tee be the best way of doing it seeing as how it sees vac and then also has the biggest hose line going to it

I think the best way to do it would be to do it like I did. As shown in pics above.
