ok so i hooked up a boost gauge (sliced in to the line that goes from the blower to the pressure sensor) tried a few different locations all seemed to be about the same.but...i have to stay on the rev limiter (6500rpm)for about 3 sec to see 5-6 psi boost. is this normal or could their be a problem with the bypass opening to soon?????
please help

The bypass valve is open in vacuum, and it closes under boost. The bypass valve recirculates air inside the manifold to allow it to seep back into the intake side of the supercharger. At and near WOT, the valve closes, sealing the intake manifold off from the air intake, allowing all of the supercharger's output to pressurize.

You should not be bouncing off the rev limiter.

Your horrible description of the problem leaves us asking questions:
1. Do you see any boost at all under any other conditions besides holding the engine at 6500 RPM?
2. Did you tighten everything down, and make sure you don't have a loose hose?
3. Is your boost gauge accurate? Electrical or mechanical?

The boost gauge should be tapped into the fuel pressure regulator hose coming off the left side of the supercharger manifold.

The problem is sitting in the seat behind the wheel... I can sit here just picturing you in the driveway bouncing it off the rev limiter... I hope you realize what you are doing! Good luck!

you need to be driving the car for it to accurately read a boost level. revving it sitting in your driveway is going to do nothing but wear your engine down faster....

every thing is tight ,
the boost gauge is a new mechanical auto-meter.
and the only reason i was on the rev limiter was to see if i could read any boost.
ill change my location of the boost gauge(thought any were with manifold vac would work).
my bad, i thought parked or driving boost would biuld the same .

5-6psi in neutral...thats wicked

I would say it is reading right cause that is the boost a lot of guys are seeing...thats if you are on the stock pulley...anyways, like Publikdstrbnce said, you need to be driving it to see the boost...no load on the engine is gonna yeild no boost...thats unless you hold it off the rev limiter, which I have never done myself. Take the car for a drive and then give us an update.
