Recently my car stated hesitating really bad between 3500-4500rpm.Any were below or above that it runs fine.Right now its throwing 2 codes And also another because my cat o2 sensor was removed.Do you think it could have an thing to do with these codes. Also when I am at wot the gm reflash is putting me at 10.0 afr.Is that normal?
1.P0122 Throttle/Pedal Position Sens A Ckt Low Input
2.P0452 Evap Control System Pressure Sensor Low
Yes.... 10 to 1 AFR on GM Reflash is normal... GM Reflash tends to run on the Extreme rich side. The Evap code won't give you a preformance problem... If you have a scanner or DVM check the voltage on the TPS as you push the pedal to the floor... Should go from below 1volts up to around 5volts

I have the obd2 scanner but not a volt meter.Anyone else have any ideas.
try taking your throttle body off and cleaning it with TB cleaner or brake cleaner.
what TB do you have?
Lols.
I am using the stock l61 throttle body but I had to make my own adapter.I was just looking through the gm manual and saw that it requires premium fuel I only have 87 in their.Do you think this could be the problem?
bingo! with the kit comes a sticker that states premium
Now all I have to do is tolerate it until I burn up 3/4 of a tank. It's weird that it would only affect it between 3500-4500rpm.

87 octane with a 10.0:1 compression piston and non intercooled.....

I have the stock cobalt heat exchanger on.Do you think that the gas could be the problem.
yes the gas is a problem it needs 91octane maybe pick up a bottle of octane booster to help its reach 91 octane.
The reflash hates "bad" fuel.
I will let everyone know when I get some 91 in the tank.
Don't go into boost until you're full of at least 91 octane.
throw some octane boost in there to up it near 93. i saw some NOS octane stuff at auto zone the other day when i picked up some shammy cloths. im almost done burning the 110 octane i have in my tank right now from this weekend
my AFRs on 92 with HPT are 11.7-12.0, with the race gas they are at 10.9-11.2 on the same tune.
HPT is awesome so if you have a spare computer and the money to buy HPT, i recommend that, reflash really does suck.. super rich all the time..

Right now I don't care about running rich as long as I can enjoy the car. Thanks for the advise I am planning on hp tuners in the future.Did you tune yours your self or have a shop do it?
did it myself. going to try and get on a dyno though to get it perfect

Just filled up with 93 and it didn't help.Could it be because of the throttle position sensor?
could be.. dont know for sure. replace it and see if that fixes it.. if not just take it back or something..

yea it sounds like a TPS i had the same problem but on my jimmy and i just replaced the Tps
I will give that a try next.
yes.... TPS. if your scanner is not just a code puller and has live data info.... with key on engine off... check TPS voltage goes from below 1volt at closed throttle to above 4volts at wide open throttle....
I know the scanner will tell you between 0 and 100% for the throttle.Hopefully I will have time tomorrow to get a look at it.
yea... thats percent the throttle is open... TPS has 3 wires (1)5 Volt reference (2) ground (3)return volts to computer... Return volts are what you are checking for...
Put the new sensor in and its still throwing the code. The code is saying A Ckt Low Input is the problem.Could it be just one of the three wires that is not sending a signal.Any one know which color the low input is?
Any one have a wiring diagram of a 2003 cavalier engine compartment?
