i was trying to buy a tuned ecu from a member for my car something for a base tune to start . we both supposedly had the same mods right he said the ecu was tuned to run 10 -12 psi on premium " with intercooler " . so i sent the money and now i find out he never had the intercooler on the car yet it was tuned with hp to reach 10-12 psi ? i really feel this is unrealistic dont you ? i sent a email to him and this is what he said which makes me alittle leary "Yes I recieved the money. I will be shipping it on Monday. The ECU was tuned without the intercooler, but it doesnt have much of an effect on tunning. any opinions

I would put it in and see where your AFR is. What if you are worried about nothing. It could be spot on or it could be way off. You don't know and neither do we. You do have a wideband gauge right? And you have HPT too right? If that is the case then I don't see what the big deal is. A base tune just means somewhere to start from.
