i swapped out from my gt3076r and sold it, specs on that were a .63 a/r hot side, 4" inlet/2" turbo outlet to a gt35r, i gotta pick it up but the place im grabbing it from has 2 different options for the hot side, either the .63 a/r or a .82 a/r.
im just trying to figure out what my full boost rpm will be and how laggy it will be.
please post specs on the turbo a/r, charge pipe sizing and such as that all coincides with it
THANKS A TON
the bigger the hotside the more lag you will have.
but i have a .82 ar hot side and my @!#$ spool decent

i have a garret 60 trim, .60ar compressor housing amd.82 ar exhaust stg 3 wheels. divided t3 flange
i have 2.5 inch charge piping from turbo to inlet on intercooler and thecold side of charge piping its 3inc to throttle body

I wouldnt go from a BB turbo to a journal if hes got the money for it. Specialy with a larger .82 turbine housing, he'd definitely wana do a twin scroll on a journal bearing turbo.

made power with it and decided i wanted more already. i sold the gt3076r for a good price, bought the 35r and still came out ahead a bit $ wise
and brandon the .82 a/r is in it

The number one reason people go bigger
Are the LD9 guys using adjustable cam gears to play with overlap and spool the turbo faster? I've read accounts of the 2.0 LNF spooling the GT35r 0.82ar around 3800 rpm after tuning cam and spark timing. With the extra displacement and sick cam/head builds you guys are doing you should be able to achieve the same or better.

Well I know that, but I had no idea he had the 30R on the car already. I thought he was still N/A.
Don't blame ya though, I want a 35r now

i have no cam gears to play with the overlap and such, personally if brandon is full boost @ 4000rpm that works for me, it gives me 3500rpm of full boost and also with that high of full boost threshold, im hoping the tires dont just go up in smoke like they were doing with the 30R lol.
i have the big cams in the car, even bigger than the HO's which are 410 lift and 210 duration, im running the W41's with 410 lift and 218 duration.
all i know with how the car responded with the 30R was just top end is a monster and the fact that the 2.4 builds the same amount or more torque its a great daily driver and loves going from a roll no matter what. even off boost the power is there to putt around and not have any issues
Dave - the 30R is a great turbo and would suggest it to anyone but i just needed more, is yours a 3071 or the 3076??
i just noticed you stole my boost gets you laid sig from like 3 years ago and just added a turbo lol
i wonder whos going to bust 500whp in an ld9 first....

as it sits fetter is beating me but i might have the turbo on before his car is back up and mobile, maybe i will crack the 500whp before him lol, either way its still great to see the LD9 boys doing great and i love fetter's car, always been a favorite
hey now dont rule out jimmyc... he's up there now, too
spyhunter should be along shortly as well.
whoever gets there first doesnt really matter, the fact that a 14 year old motor is still kicking it with the big boys is.
