Saab TD04 Filter

I'm in search of an air filter to the TD04 Turbo on my 03 Cavalier.
I need one that is small enough and won't contact what seems to be a line for the evap system.
If anyone knows of one that fits for sure that would be great. Along with the size of the inlet.

Thanks!

Take measurements and search the K&N website(or Summit or Jegs), they should have one.

lol that's the problem.
I'm at college and that means nothing to measure with.
Just seeing if anyone already would know.

I think with the a/c still installed you need a 90' coupler so you can mount the filter straight up. Then a aluminium coupler connector and then a small filter. You just need to measure it all and get what you need.

A plain screen mesh KILLS your airflow intake. Don't use one of those. Filters have a greatly increased surface area in their filtration so the airflow restriction is minimized or eliminated.

I've been rocking no fiilter for 4 months. Getting an intake fabbed up though. Filters are good. Just have someone weld together some piping in the orientation you need.

I know a guy on the jbom forum that will do an intake setup, but I really don't wanna spend 100 bux in piping and couplers

Hey who on jbom makes those? I'm interested. Also the saab turbo inlet is smaller than 2 inch its something strange.

here's what i have on my saab setup. it's the garrett turbo, but i can't imagine the inlet on the td04 being any smaller. I used a k&n filter with a 2.25" inlet. It's about 4" long and 3.5" wide. It's part number knn-ru-0600 on summitracing.com

Wow that fits perfect! I haven't had a filter since I installed the setup. 2.5 yrs of daily driving and one winter no problems.

I might get one just in case.
I got my oil report back from blackstone, and it showed good air/oil filtration.....
Without a filter?

Andy definitely doesnt half ass anything! Though Ive been driving without a filter for almost a year lol. I just cant fit a 2-bolt inlet back where my turbo is, when I had a clamp on inlet I always had a screen on it.
