Haven't been on the forums in awhile. I had a 2.2 eco mildly built with a 16g. Dyno at 22 psi - 348hp 403 tq. Got tired of it because i had the cobalt for a daily driver. It sat for a few months and i sold the engine/turbo kit. The body sat since Jan.Cobalt shot a ring so i Just threw a stock 2.2 in cavalier last week. it and its running pretty good. Believe it has around 80,000 miles on it. Now thoughts on taking my super charger off cobalt and putting it on the cavalier. I want to get the guys rods and pistons that he is selling in the classified section. I can pull head and oil pan and throw them in there. How is the ecotec with stock comp. on like 15-18 psi with that m62? Im going this route and am extremely excited about it. I should not have sold my MOTOR! A guy on here has it and it running 8 psi and is happy 2. Anyway, anyone have a piston/rod combo with the eaton on a 2.7?? I need some thoughts. I should be able to do this with very little money. As far as cobalt goes, while im driving this im sending my 2.0 down to the machine shop for a build. J BODY FTMFW
2.8 will make about 13 psi on a non ported l61 so 2.7 should make 14 psi. Less if the head is ported and you have blower cams. As long as you tune well stock piston and rods should hold up to a 2.7 since the 2.7 shouldn't make more power than the 2.8 (just more torque).
