Got any time slips from your friend that ran a 13.2? Thats fast for the saab setup.

I went to the track for my first time and ran a 14.2, given i was nervous as hell and had no idea what I was doing. I know that a 13.xx is possible.

I plan on hitting it up this year, im pretty anxious as well to see what I will hit being my first time with this car on 10 pounds.

I also would like to see a slip of the 13.2, because that is fast for the saab setup.

CAR IS FOR SALE...Saab Kit, GM Reflash, 10 psi

i mean if brandoson ran a 13.9 on 6 psi how is it hard to imagine the saab setup hiting a 12 second et haha... i know what u mean tho my first time at the track sucked too but i go every week in the summer so im used to racing now......its just gonna take time getting used to the way boost reacts...

It's such a small turbo it isn't hard to turn it into a hairdryer at higher boost levels, and just pushing hot air instead.
I ran mine at the track at 10-11psi, had horrible wheel hop and bogged a few launches. I'm sure this summer I'd be close to 13.6, but a 12 second 1/4 with the saab setup doesn't seem possible, unless you are very very very good behind the wheel at a track.

I'm not really up to date with the eco's. But from what other j's are running and from what I have read on the saab setup over the years your hard pressed to get into the 12's. Heck I'm gonna be surprised if I get into the 12's with a TO4E 57 trim with a stage 3 turbine and a fully built motor. I would suspect mid to high 13's but definitely post your times when you get out. Maybe you have a factory freak.

i went 12,8@111 stock motor 13psi with my t3/t4 57 trim, stage 3 wheel. and that was working it hard.
i can see your car getting into 12's territory...

i dont forsee a 12.xxx out of the saab setup... just cant move enough air...

Set your car up properly and it's easily doable to run a 12.xx dude.

Well that's my opinion anyways, then again what do I know LOL

yea i just have hp tuners no cat 2.5 cat back and all prothane mounts full interior as well... like i said im at the track everyweek lol so my times better be good..... i think ill be fine but if i cant break 12's on hpt and 15 psi ill be very disapointed.... this was alot of work to ad only a second to my time haha... my next project is an eco swapped geo metro all motor so i can show the honda hatch kids whats up...

Brandonson also did this when NO tuning was out for the j's. He did it with a FMU and a aeromotive pressure regulator was all that he had for tuning. Trust me i have his old fuel rail, and aeromotive regulator along with his saab green top injectors. if tuned properly and set up properly I can see 12's possiable...

like i said if i break a 12.9 im happy my friends ss/tc went 13.1@107 so i gotta break 12 before he does haha....like i said if 6 psi he went 13.9 and on 8 psi ran 13.2 its only logical that 15 psi =somewhere in the 12's.... i guess we will see here in april unless it breaks before i can run it....

I think I'd set it to 12 psi and strip the car. Make it as light as you can.

i think 12s are possible with the saab setup. i think the biggest factor is the driver.

John, I see that you're in blairsville, i'm just down 22 in the monroeville area if you need an extra hand with your saab setup.

Wow. It's been a while since i've been on here! I'll try to find that slip.

Anyways. Good luck John! It's gonna be tough, but I think a 12.9 or so can be done on the saab setup.

if i rember correctly i believe brandoson was running the reflash when he ran the 13.xx time. Im the one who reflashed it for him lol and almost every other j in az

Re: saab powered 1/4mile times anyone

either way im sure that the reflash being just a generic tune on a turbo app will see alot different results than a properly tuned... since the reflash has preset parameters and its not tailored to the actual conditions... so im hoping the with hpt and a good tune the car will meet the goals i put out.... i guess we will find out in just a few days tho....FINALLYYY
