I think a stage 2 belt will work for you.

thanks for the,Well 2.9 it is..
Im running 2.9 on the same belt. As 3.1. the stage 2 belt I couldn't get on.
hmmmmm,so you are running stock belt on a 2.9 with no slipping.
No belt slip, stage 2 is good insurance though. My car just likes the stocker....
well ok then,I will order the stage 2 belt than..thanks for the info..
i have a stage 2 belt if your interested. PM me if your interested.
I installed a 2.8 pulley on a friends car and ran a stock SS/SC belt, but used the ZZP larger idler pulley.

Might be cheaper just to add a phenolic spacer.....I'm running the stock belt with a 3.0 and a zzp manifold spacer and an O.E.M. blower spacer. It is a tight fit with both spacers though
thanks for all the info guys, always lots of help to me..Jason
With the 3.1" pulley and the OEM phenolic spacer I was running fine with the stock s/c belt.
When I removed the phenolic spacer, and dropped to a 3.0" pulley it was Definately Slipping, so I installed a larger tensioner pulley and it's all good.
By the way, JUCNBST did you use silicone on both sides of the s/c outlet spacer?

Jesus- The order I ran my spacer in was as follows. lower Manifold - paper gasket - Phenolic spacer - gm metal gasket - M62 blower. For the bypass spacer you have a rubber o-ring on the manifold side and for the other that makes contact with the blower bypass I used a light film of black RTV. I had no issues with boost leak or vacuum leaks when we installed it this way. I also had no belt slipage without the spacers and a 3.0 maybe your tensioner is worn out?
