Saab intake manifold?

Is there a gain on a boosted setup using the Saab metal intake manifold over the factory plastic one?

Dynoed gains.....no.

But in theory it should

Why in theory? I thought it would be better since it is straight through and appears to be equal length. I figured the U shape plastic ones would be restrictive.

In theory it should provide gains.

Did someone dyno test these yet?

Yes, I don't recall who, the plastic flows better because it has more volume, where the saab flows decent but gets heat soaked.

I have had both, and actually one of the first to install it. If you do run it you will need to drill a new hole for the iac sensor, if not it won't idle.

LNF has a completely different intake flange pattern than prior Ecos...which is why alot of turbo LSJ guys go with the Saab manifold if they don't want a composite one.

Rob, I would just grab an LE5 manifold. Bolts right on (does require a TB adapter) and has been proven to flow better than the L61 manifold.

Keep an eye on the classifieds, especially on cobaltss.net, I sold both my old LE5 manifolds for like $70.

But make sure its the right year 2.4 manifold.

iirc 08 and up is not the right one.
