Not to be an a$$, but to save yourself some trouble read the FAQ at the top of the boost page. To sum it up, unless you have some awesome connections, resources and know-how, there is no way in hell that you will get a 225 hp setup on your car for 1500. Maybe try to find a used GM s/c to satisfy your boost needs for now. Good luck.

I have almost $3000 invested in my kit and I'm hoping for 13.5's. You will probably not get into the twelves for $1500, you probably won't even get a turbo kit on for that much.

I've now got about 3k invested like shifted going the absolute cheapest route I can. I am shooting for high 12s on an H/O motor. 1500 would never be enough.

well since youve been herain some pretty bad news so far. like they said the there turbo kits are expenseive but I would imagine that if your good at with engines and turbos you could through a junkyard turbo topgether ( would prbably have to be striped and worked on) with a junker intercooloer an ebay mani and a bunch of cheap parts where you can get your hands on them mabye just mabye you could pull 225. whew periods arent my freind.

if he knew that much about engines he wouldn't be asking about this. so the real answer is no, you won't get 225 hp with 1500.

damn 15 I'm not sure you should be allowed to have a car, let alone drive a boosted one.

Back on topic with 3k you can piece up a decent custom turbo but that's without installation and forget about internals for that price.

Depending on the turbo I'd say max 8 psi to be safe.

^ Stay away from Exploited racing.

What are "internals" in that price quote?

3 types of jobs here:

Good, Fast, and Cheap, choose any 2

1. If its good and fast, it wont be cheap

2. If its Fast and Cheap, it wont be good

3. If its Cheap and Good, it wont be Fast.

A lil off topic, but oh well. I'd say wait till youve been driving a lil while before you go for 225HP in a 2700 pound car. Not busting your balls or anything but if your only 15 you really dont need that much power... Im personally glad i started out with a 79 Grand Prix that had a POS 301 4-barrel, i didnt have enough power to hurt anyone or i just might have.

Im only 18 now and still dont trust myself with the car i have now lol, although i do have a sense of my own mortality.

Wow i just got way off topic, im cut.

I do know a few 15 year olds who know their engines... but a junkyard turbo set-up takes some hardcore mechanical knowledge and a lil' engineering =P

Not to whore out my own work or anything, but Here's mine.

Just umm... be careful man. Learn the road before you go all fast and furious.

225 hp does not equal 12 second quarter mile times, not in a J-body

you probably wont need "internals" for 225 hp, you probably would for 12s

it's fairly obvious you don't know what you're doing. You're going to need to start reading.

No, they really do make great products, but if you order a "kit" through them, it will probably take well over a year to get your parts.

can u upgrade a internal bov and how much psi is cavalier connection turbo i think i was looikng for 6-8 psi i like the cavalier extremem stage three can my 100k motor handle it ro should i go for new pistons and rods first

You mean an internal Wastegate right?? There is a diff.... You can adjust a them to whatever boost you want within limits. The BOV does not control boost.
