Unlike the 2.4 guys, GM actually cares about the ECOTEC motor and their products.

Also, it's not like they are still developing it...it's still going through Emissions so it can be 50 state legal (probably California keeping it from being released). I know it's already developed because:

1. It's the same charger as the Cobalt SS/Redline but just made to fit the 2.2 ECOs
2. I have seen it in person ever since last years bash on a Cobalt SS display car (yes it was on a 2.2 ECO cause the 2.0 motor wasn't completely out yet).

NJHK,

I spoke with someone at the bash who was from GM. He was very interested in my setup and wanted to know how I overcame a few issues. From what he expressed, their kit was not yet ready and they were still working out some bugs.

I'm glad I went the route I did. Not only will the GM kit not be intercooled or even contain the intercooler cores in the intake, it's taking forever even to hit the market. Sounds as though it will be far more expensive than what I have into my setup as well.

Yeah I talked to the same guys and they said they were going through some issues also with emissions. They said give it a couple months.

I think the price should be around $3500...don't think it will be that much higher.

I'm crossing fingers for September...

i think you should make a list of parts and how you put everything on and make a sticky nice work on your car.

are we goning to be abled to intercool thes 2.2 eco setup? since there are no intercooler cores in the intake or a intercoller its self that the charger will hook up to?

ah i'm probalby going to forget about this kit because i can build a turbo kit for a cheaper price...and plus won't have to deal with heatsink such as the 2.4 guys do...

Dave (2 Uniq), I hear that the manifold is supposed to be intercooled.

Sounds easier than it is...building your own turbo kit takes alot of customization and tuning to run properly, unlike a kit where they know everything will work fine with each other and as long as it's installed properly there shouldn't be any problems.

They would also need everything out the engine bay which would cost some good change. It's best to find it localy and take everything out. Also, you would need the transmission.

Cant you just get the charger and a few odds and end. Then just build the rest yourself?

If you looked it up, Michael Lilly has an Automatic...the 2.0s came with manuals, that's why he would need the transmission.
