Whatever is recommended in that page is not for your street car. That page is from the GM performance handbook.
For the power range that your going for, the turbo they use in the ECO Hahnrace craft turbo kits is what they suggest you use.

i've come to the quick easy conclusion that you know absolutely nothing about turbo setups. go to borders and pick up a book called MAXIMUM BOOST by Corky Bell. Read it and let it become your bible. Then, once you are at least halfways knowledgeable, return to the boost forum.

Scott, before you worry about 600 HP, worry about surpasing 200 HP safely and then go from there. If you have a 600 HP car, you won't be street legal first of all...there is too much issues to handle with a high horsepower fwd car. There is alot at stake than throwing a turbo kit on and some pistons & rods and alot more education you need before attempting something like this.
All I'm saying is...take babysteps.

i dunno what you talkin bout is big homie. we got several 700+ hp cars here in KC that are street cars, and yes some of them are FWD.

Let me rephrase, it's hard to have a 600+ HP FWD car that is street legal and pass inspections and be used as daily drivers.

ah well yea in that case... it really is impossible.

600 horse isn't impossible in a jbody however...
street legal? definetly not
streetable? (able to be run on pump gas) maybe...
expensive? hell yes
easy? hell no
ok so in that case what would be my best bet for a top of the line turbo
Unfortunately, the best of the best is not available to the public. And if it was, you couldn't afford it.
PS - Read Sexual Chocolate's second post a few times..

I wouldn't be the one to answer that question

There are more things to consider than what is the best of the best. What are you looking for? A street car, all out drag? I really don't know what'd it take for a J-Body to hit 600fwhp, so I can't suggest the perfect turbo for you. But no one can answer the question based on what turbo is best, they all have different advantages and disadvantages. Why don't you tell us more about your setup first?
