Ok i installed directions. And everything work and i had no errors come up.. but maybe 10 min after i was driving. MY check engine light came on? is this normal? I mean everything is hooked up right i can feel it shift hard. Anything i should check? or leave it?
Thanks,
Brandon
uhh, well im not sure of a check engine light. i get a trac off light on mine. Did you double check all your wiring? Triple check it? Make sure both wires are getting a good contact? I wouldnt use it untill you get it working properly.

I have a transinterceptor on mine and when it is adjusted at more than 20% the trac off light comes on because of the higher line pressure.Must be the same for the B&M shift plus.

yeah but it's the check engine light comes on.. it didnt do it for the first 10min then it came on and wont go off?
I just installed mine tonight, did it wrong the first two times and it threw a CEL. Third time I got it right but the light's still there, so I have my battery unplugged and we'll see if it's gone in the morning, I'll let you know.

Meh, battery reboot didn't fix it.
I'm taking it to a tranny shop tomorrow to get my comp reflashed.

Okay, my dad took the casing to a tranny shop and they said that it's meant for RWD applications and boosts my line pressure from 60 to 300 and that my tranny will blow up.
Anyone want to call 'dumbass'?

I found the problem!!!!
TRY THIS TRY THIS TRY THIS
It was my problem and I haven't thrown a code since
Push the plug in so it feels like it's in all the way, then push harder, it will click a little bit, and then be really hard to take out, and that's it!

I'll call
. If you take a look at the application, if you got the 3188 (i think) the only one that will work for our cars (as the other one is vacuum modulated) it is actually made for a front wheel drive, such as Grand Ams, GP's, 6000's etc. So thats bs. And it will not blow up your tranny. Secondly, Ive had mine in for like a year, never ever had any lights come on because of it. Its most certainly working, and no ETS light, or CEL.
edit* thats the 70380 i think. Yes its not made for our cars, its not listed in the application, but it works.
yeah, I re-talked to the dude after my dad was gone, and he said it wouldn't hurt. I hate people who aren't straight to the point :S

I dont have a CEL or trac off, but i do get a shift up light, but only on the #2 setting. if i turn the car off and switch it to #1 or completely off it doesnt come back on.
I actually have both the autotrans interceptor and a B&M shiftplus and they both do the same thing as I'm about to describe so I believe there's something wrong with my trans or my computer when trying to interface these type of devices:
Hooked the Interceptor up, turned the dial about 1/2, the car drives and shifts great for about 10 minutes, then the "no trac" light comes on and the trans freaks out and starts shifting like I just increased the line pressure to like 1000000 and I hear a quick SSsss when it shifts. I remove it, wait a day, and install the B&M shiftplus. I wire it up as per the directions and pictures from one of the posts on this site, click it into the #1 position, and again, after 10 minutes of driving and shifting perfect the trans flips out, the "no trac" light comes on, and it starts shifting like the pressure has been increased 100000. I believed this is heat related which is why I tried the B&M but it has the same problem. I want a slight increase so the car drives fine but when I get on it, it shifts faster and firmer.

I Have an ecotec 2.2L 2002 cavy. And my check engine light has been on for about 1 week now. It's goes off and on.. Well i brought it in to my shop class and I wanted to see what the code was. The code is "P0717" if anyone can look that up or know how to fix that. I would really appreciate it.. I cleared the code and it has not came back on. but i wanted to know what caused it.
so is this worth buying r no the b@m shift indicator plus
Yes, I love it and you can switch it off when other people are in the car, regardless of what people say, you can change from;
off to 1
off to 2
1 to 2
1 to off
2 to off
2 to 1
While your driving, it just takes a few seconds. The shifts also aren't that violent feeling, you're not going to feel some giant clunk or anything, but when your revved to 3000RPM in 2 and you go from first to second gear, rather than slowing down so that the gears change, your thrown forward by the difference in gear ratios.
Yes, love it!
