I know this will sound dumb, but i want to drain out my 5 speed fluid & replace it with trick shift fluid. I looked in the manual for the filler plug, they mentioned a "vent" plug to fill the tras at. I have a '03, on top of the trans there's a allen-head plug, and about 2" from it toward the engine there's a plastic knob of sorts. Which is the filler/vent
plug? I don't want to pour fluid into the clutch area, but want to do this while i have my toy apart. I'm installing an AEM cold air system, Pace Setter ceramic header, trick shift fluid and doing a brake job as the person who had it before me mush have drove it with the parking brake on. YUCK. Thanks, i know ya'll have done this before.
well just so you know...the drain plug is on the drivers side by the subframe connector bar and the fill is on top. check plug is on the back.
and it fills with ATF not GM synchromesh like everyone assumes
I used to race cars, now I race myself.
