I not sure if I'm explaining this right, but I'm going to try. I have a 2000 Cavi 5-speed. The question is this. Is there a way to adjust the clutch to grab quicker? When I let up off the clutch pedal to see when it grabs or starts to make the car move, it's up about 1/2 ways. It's been like that since I bought the car in 2002. Is the adjustment right?
Or is there a way to adjust the clutch? I drove a C5 Z06 and as soon as I let up off the clutch pedal, the Corvette almost stalled because I wasen't use to a clutch working that quick. Is there a way to make the clutch grab quicker?.
Also, where can I get clutch performance parts?
Thanks in advance for helping me out. Hope that it wasen't too confusing.
heres a thought, take a long bolt and screw it into your firewall and adjust it so the pedal bottoms out on the bolt rather than the firewall. you'll also have to override your safety switch. use nuts on the bolt on both sides of the firewall for limitless adjustments. (old school). keep in mind that the vettes clutch was probably shot.
You can bleed the clutch which can (but not saying ti will) make grab sooner. Why do you want it to grab sooner? If the clutch is working before you get the pedal to the floor, then do not push it all the way down.
