i did this a year ago to my 96 2.2 and it wasn't that bad but i do recommend finding a parts/donor car, it will make things much easier. as far as your list goes you will also need to get a new pcm or have yours reflashed, new axles a few misc clips, clutch master and slave, (most clutch kits come with a new slave though) also and i am not sure about a 99, but you should also have to weld in new mounts on the inside rail of the engine compartment....in my opinion that was the pain part b/c i don't know how to weld so i had my dads boss do it for me, other then that it was pretty simple. i recommend pulling the engine and trans and doing all of the work that way. i am not sure how hard it would be to do this with the engine in the car but i could imagine that it would be pretty difficult.
ok yes im basicly am having a donor car. I have a guy who is selling his car to his sister and is converting to a auto for her. He had the donor car and ripped everything out so i need to get the list for him to send the parts my way. which is why i asked.
wleding is not a problem ... dads a mechanic! hes just out of reach right now for me to ask him for it.
so please confirm the list ...
Tranny, linkage, PCM, shifter assembly, center cousil for a manual, shift boot, clutch pedal, axles, Complet clutch set up, flywheel, and nwely mounted tranny mounts (witch will be after market)
sounds good but you do not nees the center counsel all you need id the little filler plate which has the shift boot attatched to it....also you will need flywheel bolts and the clutch pedal is attached to the brake pedal...i think....cannot remember that one for sure though
