I have here a getrag tranny that im trying to find out exactly what its for...i was told when i bought it that it was outta a 2000 z24 5 speed but im guessing its from a 2.2 but im not sure so if you can help out let me know. I know the bell housing is different placing the starter on the lower side of the tranny instead of top like on my 2001 2.4. Im looking to find out so i can sale this tranny i have no use for it. That looks a lot like my transmission. I just had it out this past weekend. Mine had a threaded stud in the hole down and to the right of the blue plug, though.
Ok thats cool so i noticed that you have a 2000 2.4 was your started on the lower part of your tranny cuz my tranny looks exactly the same except the starter position is different. Maybe its possible that the 2000 and 2001 are slightly different? Did you take any pictures you could look at?

LOOK like the one for my 2200. As fas as I know, that is the only differences in the F23....is the bellhousing area. are there any other numbers on it someone could try to reference?

Comparing your picture to my picture (this is my 2001 Z24 5 speed tranny) Your tranny is not for a 2.4 motor.

Thanks guys there are a few more numbers on it i just have to look at it in the day light and get back to you on that. Im trying to figure out for sure so i can sell it without screwing anyone over thinking there are getting a different tranny like i did.

if you could get better & bigger pictures. the 2.4 has a flat side on the housing where the f23 is like a circle.
